Happy 5th of July

I'm a day late, I know. I wrote an entry last night about Independence Day, our nation as a prisoner of debt, the destructive results of feeling entitled, and how a big step in the right direction would be for everyone to cut up their credit cards. Sort of my plea for a return to earned rewards.
It was on my mind because yesterday was July 4th, but people don't come here to hear me spout off about the economy or politics or shredding credit cards, so I chucked it. Besides, it wasn't very positive, and my overriding philosophy in life is that it's important to focus on the positive.
So let me get back to the things you might like to hear about or have me respond to.
Starting with...lots of comments at last week's posting--I will go back there and reply, promise!
Moving onto...The Running Dream. Yes, it's posted at the on-line bookstores, so I've added an image of the cover here. My editor told me that the bound galleys have been printed, so the book will go out to reviewers soon...even though the book won't be out until January 2011. I love the jacket art of this book, and I'm holding my breath to see if the way this story moved me will translate to the reader. Critics can be so...critical! So I just hold my breath and hope that what's in my head and heart sweeps from the page and into the head and heart of the reader. We'll see!
I received movie posters for Flipped this week. What's interesting to me is the little "Photo Shopped" change. Bryce and Juli's hands are no longer visible on the tree branch. Before they were holding hands, now that's not visible. Their hands have moved to the other side of the tree branch and we can no longer see them. I like it better this way, and that they made this change is very interesting to me.
Also, I have to say, Warner Brothers is being wonderfully inclusive toward me. Aside from sending me a supply of posters for area schools (long story for later), they've included me in their press kit, have done a remarkable book-to-film "featurette" for the e-book, and have invited the four of us to the Hollywood premiere in late July. I will be able to report back to you about what a Hollywood premiere is really like and spin tales from the after-party. Should be fun!
Random House will have me on "Random Buzzers" - sort of an on-line chat that takes place over about 2 weeks starting in early August. I'll give you details as time draws closer. It would be fun to have you join me there.
And meanwhile I'm working away on Sammy Keyes and the Night of Skulls (the 'working title'). It's going great!
Thanks for checking in. I'll see you next Sunday!

This is great! Can you give us a summary of The Running Dream? It sounds interesting. And can you post a picture of the poster so we can see the change? And Sammy Keyes and the Night of Skulls sounds interesting!!!!!!! :D

I'm so glad you didn't post the Fourth of July one, because I don't really like the Fourth of July. Bad memories that I don't like to think of (now that that didn't stop me from going to a Fourth bonfire you know but why would I miss out just because of my insane family and their impulsive acts?).
But anyway, I also saw the Running Dream cover and summary. Oh yeah oops I already posted that on a different comment on the previous post. I comment so much that I completely forget what I even write. People on Formspring are planning an “attack” (not a real attack!) on Random House to get Wedding Crasher early. Their plan is to bring horseshoes, cement, anything that represent SK and pretesting. :P Of course its not real but it is quite entertaining, I shall prove the pitchforks and torches. You know how in magazines they have calenders with upcoming events? I forget what magazine I was reading but Flipped was in it and I was like, “LOOK MOM THAT’S WHAT I’M GONNA SEE IN A FEW MONTHS” and then I made my older sister promise to go with me since she also read the book. She’s very picky, she likes your books but she won’t openly admit it because she’s always pissed that I won’t read Harry Potter, so sadly I do not have many people (besides here) to discuss them with. But for some reason Flipped has this magic which makes everyone like it, and even my sister couldn’t say to the movie.
Me: Siera we have to go see Flipped when it comes out. Put it on your calendar.
Her: Flipped is a movie now?
Me: Yes *Takes out cell phone and opens YouTube app* Watch the trailer.
Her: *watches trailer* I am impressed.
Me: *smirks* I thought so. So you have to go see it with me or I wont let you read SK&the WC when it comes out .
(She really wants to read it but like I said she wont admit it)
Her: I was going to see it anyway *lies* Pssh what are you talking about?
Okay so our conversation wasn’t that awkward but yeah just an example or how indenial she is. INDENIAL I SAY.
You do NOT know how long it took me to copy and paste the Wedding Crasher preview. Fricken Amazon wont let us print the stupid previews so I had to take screen shots and PAST E THEM INTO DANG WORD (that sentence could have had a LOT on swear words in them but I so very politely inserted “stupid” and “dang” into them.)
But now I shall go read them while sitting on some comfy bricks outside while in the company of beautiful birds and trees and grass and who am I kidding? I’m staying inside. Oh by the way SK has been setting my mood all week. I am now either always: moping and depressed, pissed off or upset, or overly excited. I’m depressed at times because I look at my phone’s calendar (98 days left until Oct 12), I’m pissed off because some lucky people have read it already (GOSH haha) and I’m overly excited because I’m weird and cant wait. My mom thinks I’m going through PMS or something which maybe I AM BUT NOT RIGHT NOW I TELL YOU. Its not pms it Is actually just SKS. Sammy Keyes Syndrome. Hmm maybe I should go check to see if I am diagnosed with SKS. My mother will be taken aback.
The reason this is so long is because I’ve needed to get all this out all week long and for some reason I’m doing it now. I’ll bet you anything everyone else here also has SKS.

You know how Mr Vince called them retards and ha to apologize? That happened to our fifth grade class. Our teacher Miss Stetka was new and reall young, like 22, so she acted all friendly with the students but then one day (ironically) the class "joker" started to get really weird. It was on Valentines Day and he was rolling all over the floor and being an idiot and Miss Stetka is like, "Everyone stop being such retards!"
We all stared at her like "Excuse us?"
She had the lamest excuse: "I meant to say "Ricardo" from I Love Lucy! Because you know how crazy Ricardosad and..? And... And.." and we're all like "We're not buying it".
So then the next day she gathered a class "meeting" and apologize for calling us retarded. But the principal didn't find out so yeah. She was like, "I'm so sorry for calling you retarded. It was not appropriate of me and I've been habit a bad week, my fiancé brok up with me etc etc".
It was true because her ring was gone but she still shouldn't have said it.
Just thought I'd "connect". (connect is the key word to a good grade in school especially in essays).

ssCLxx: Wait! So how did you know about Mr. Vince and his comment when that happens in Wedding Crasher??? PS Your posts are always so wild and entertaining. Pitchforks and torches!Ha!

O4Ever: All I have is the actual poster (which is way too big to scan). I'll share details on The Running Dream soon.

OH MY GOSH. You were late. End. of. the. world. :D lol. Seriously though, no worries. I personally wasn't expecting you to post on the 4th anyway, maybe the day before or after. I hope you got to spend plenty of time with your family :). I would love to hear more about The Running Dream as well :) And I'm glad that WB is being so 'inclusive' :D. Is your family excited about going to the premiere? That is great that someone took to time to make that seemingly small change (on the poster). The angle of Bryce's arm and hand was the only part of the poster I didn't love, partly because it looked uncomfortable... and the story... which seems silly but it did to me :). I wonder if they changed it because of the meaning or the appearance... interesting. And Sammy Keyes and the Night of Skulls sounds absolutely amazing. And mildly creepy, in a good way XD. I hope that you had a great 4th of July!!! And I'm actually interested in your views on politics and the economy and shredding credit cards (they can make some neat jewelry :), whenever you really want to talk about it. You don't really have to worry about playing to your audience here, because we all already like you :D lol. I agree about the positivity though, and most definitely try to work on that every day. Thanks for the post (and I hope things go well with the critics!),

I'm part of a secret society that can get books ordered early. So I already read all of Wedding Crash--
Just kidding! On Amazon, if you go to the Cold Hard Cash paperback version, you can click See Inside and scroll alll the way to the bottom and they have a preview. :] I think I said that already? See I told you I don't remember half the things I've said. Oh the forgetfulness of this century. I must leave for my middle name is No Life and I have nothing to do. Actually I'm just taking a break at homefor a day since I've been out for the past six days doing a ton of things I'm just too tired.
Haha yes so that is why I know about Mr Vince and his retard comment :P
Maybe I should have just lied and said I'm a mind reader or I can view the book in a vision or something cool and exciting like that but sometimes I lose my creativeness :P

NIGHT OF SKULLS! I MUST READ IT! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! I'm already upset about already reading the WC preview and not knowing what happens next. Now I have to worry about not knowing what happens in Night of Skulls. Is it for Halloween? Is the setting set during Halloween? Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait..and wait...and wait...and wait. And wait. I'm bring ing high tops to the attack with skateboards. Maybe a butcher's knife. No, I'm kidding...maybe :) Calenderrrrrrrrrrr!!! WHY MUST YOU TORTURE MEEEEEEEE! And its a really nice calender, too. The month for October has an orange speckeled cat above it. With horseshoes around it with skateboards and high tops. I need to go read some more. Or I shouldd go read morrreee...

The Running Dream is a reading journey you must take. Jessica’s story of determination, friendship, forgiveness, resiliency, and personal growth is awe-inspiring and deeply touching. This is Wendelin at her finest. Her ability to convey the power of the human spirit through the written word is magical. I have read and shared young adult literature with students for over thirty years…no story has moved and captivated me--at every emotional level--as much as this one. Please put it on your must-read list and mention it to every friend, parent, librarian, and teacher you know. This is destined to be one of the best reads of the new decade.

Wow! I feel like so many awesome things are happening to you at this moment. The cover for The running Dream looks amazing, I can't wait to read it. And I hope you have an amazing time at the Hollywood premiere of Flipped - hopefully it's not like the experience Sammy had in Hollywood Mummy! :P

xxCammyLoverxx said...

haha thanks for the link but I already read it but I know I asked, so thank you anyway. :]
And yes the Running Dream does look quite, as my friend would say, delicious. Not like the eating type of delicious but in the, "OH MY GOSH THIS BOOK LOOKS SO GOOD SO I MUST BUY IT ALONG WITH CANDY AND POPCORN BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT DELICIOUS BOOKS DO TO ME."
Well anyway, I'm sending evil messages to Casey in my head for hanging out with another girl (that is, if Heather isn't lying about it). Just kidding he can be friends with anyone (*cough cough cough MEEEE cough*) he wants to be friends with, but Sammy should be on the top of his list. HELLOOOOOOO BUDDY LOOK SHES STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU LOOK THERE IS UER FACE, YES, GOOD, NOW STEP FORWARD AND KISS. IT IS NOT THAT HARD. Well actually it's not poor Casey's fault that Sammy WAS indenial. She's not anymore, thank gosh. :P And she better be over Brandon. Something abot Brandon is too friendly-friendly with my taste but what do I know? Actually I always imagined Brandon to look exactly like Luke Castellan from the Percy Jackson series. Mmmh oh well. I'm going to convince my mom to start reading the SK series. She read the whooole Twilight (ew) series last summer, the whooole Percy Jackson and the Olympians (yum) series this summer, and next summer it's Sammy Keyes. She used to think Sammy was a boy and I never even knew. I was once searching the house for Wild Things and she's like "What is it about this Sammy guy that you like so much?" and I laughed for what seemed like hours on end. She was like, "Ohhh okay. I was wondering why you liked him so much, because I thought you liked Edward." I was shocked but then I didn't tell her about Casey because she tends to embarass me especially when she meets one of my boyfriends she would probably end up saying when he's here: "Stephanie, on a scale of One to Casey what is Alex?" (current bf) and then I'd smack my forehead and say, "Mother, Casey is a fictional character whom I love dearly but I still have to live my life."
Sometimes she is so naive, but oh well I love her. So that is why she shall not know of my secret love until like I'm in college where she could make fun of me. "Stephanie used to love some book character named Cameron!"
"It's Casey, mom."
"Whatever. Casey, Cameron, Cody, Chad, they're all the same thing to me."
sigh. Okay, well that's it. I'm sort of phone-grounded for a day so I probably should be giving my phone to my mom... :|
Bleh
And also, I was also thinking how so many great things are happening for you right now. Two new books coming out of yours, a movie of a book of yours, a possible tv show of a book of yours, etc etc.
And Sean Foreman from 3OH!3 is running a maraton in Chicago soon in group 303 (lol) and I'm in that group (OMG) so if you happen to stop by RUN WITH GROUP 303, HOLLA. :] How awesome would that be?
SEAN FOREMAN <3333 from my FAVORITE BAND. <3333 and YOUUU the author of my FAVORITE BOOKS (SK) <33333 in group 303. :D
(Sisters are watching Pirates of the Caribbean again and Jack was yelling "I gotta bottle of dirrrrtt!" and Noe it's reminding me of ahem Dead Giveaway)
(And the formula Similac tins for baby formulas in ou kitchen remind me of Sammiac. WOW)
(Maybe I should change my name from CammyLove. To CammyCraver??)

Wonderful cover! I wish I had shoes like that. :-D

And you're going to an ACTUAL PREMIERE!!! Do you think it'll be covered by any TV channel or something? Because I would LOVE to see it. Wait, when is the premiere? I'm going to be out of ambit (ahahahaha young wizards ahahahahahah) for the next 9 days or so--piano camp! Geekiness for life.

And Night of Skulls! It's gonna be for Halloween, I'm guessing, right? And does Random House REALLY have to wait until OCTOBER to release Wedding Crasher? Couldn't they speed it up by just a couple of days, maybe weeks, maybe months? (hee hee).

Katlyn Trefonas said...

Is there any way possible to get Random House to change the official release date of Sammy Keyes and the Wedding Crasher? It would be more reasonable because if it was released it September late August, it would get more sales since school is starting up, friends are talking about new books, movies, music, and so the news of Sammy Keyes and the Wedding Crasher would be new to the idea, a fresh thought that would be in their heads. Waiting for October would mean that students are getting more focused in work, therefore losing their interest in a new book on sale in October. To add on, many fans are waiting for Sammy Keyes and the Wedding Crasher to be released, as shown in your comments on your blog and many discussion forums I have come across. I am also a big fan of Sammy Keyes books and I think if you just asked the person who is in charge of release dates to just consider moving the date up slightly, we would all be grateful. Better to try and fail then to not try and not know the outcome. All of us fans would greatly appreciate it if you just took the time to send a quick email or ask quickly if the date would be moved up, to at least September at the least. The months go by slowly and already enough information is out on the book to make anyone anticipating the book. You've talked about this book since December, and t is alreay half a year. Plus, it's been a year and a half since the release of Sammy Keyes and the Cold Hard Cash, and the fans are waiting for the book and so am I. Actually, I am in college and I still enjoy the Sammy Keyes series and I'm sure that once October comes around I might even have to wait another month or so until break to buy the book and read it, since I can get pretty busy. I would easily be able to buy it if it was released in September. So please consider this for I am sure that most people who are waiting for Sammy Keyes and the Wedding Crasher readily agree with me. Thank you, and remember that this would mean a lot to some devoted fans here.

i love xxCLxx comments!! "HELLOOOOOOO BUDDY LOOK SHES STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU LOOK THERE IS UER FACE, YES, GOOD, NOW STEP FORWARD AND KISS. IT IS NOT THAT HARD." i was crying because i was laughing so hard. and i picture brandon as my cousin alex. it was like fate. i was reading SK5 (curse of mustache mary) and i was at the part where sammy calls up brandon because she feels uneasy, and then alex walks in to tell me dinners ready and it was like a lightbulb went off in my head. i was like "brandon!" and he said, "no, i'm alex. your cousin. remember me?" i had to explain to him what i meant, and he was like "okeeeey then." he still teases me about it today. every time he sees me it's "remember me? you're cousin ALEX, not the fictional character BRANDON?" anyway i'm gonna take a guess about what the running dream is about. the running dream is about a girl named daisy who loves to run, but one day gets miraculously injured because an italian bull escaped from the zoo and charged her while she was in her final lap of a race she was competing in. so she has to quit running for a while and it's killing her. then she has a vision. i don't know what the vision is about, but she has one. then they amputate her leg and replace it with a robot one and she learns to walk and run and stuff again. then she tames the wild Italian bull as her pet and together they dominate the world and cure poverty, disease, and world hunger, and all the other bad stuff. the end. i know, i'm waaaaaay off, but it's fun to make wild guesses. and xxCLxx: same thing happened with my mom! one summer i got my mom to read twilight (actually SHE got ME to read twilight, but whatever), then next summer it was sammy keyes, and this next summer i'm gonna get her to read percy jackson, lol. yup. and the marathon sounds fun! i want to go to chicago and be in group 303!

Thanks everybody. What a nice group you are! Some quick comments:

I agree about the hands and I'm glad they're gone :-) I think the poster is fantastic. And I do feel like I'm in a happy / lucky phase of life. They've moved the Hollywood premiere date times and originally I could not make it. I was bummed, but resigned and told myself that I should be glad that there was a premiere at all (because a lot of movies don't have one) and that it was a project to be proud of (because a lot of authors don't feel that way about their book-to-movie experience, and that, all things considered, my missing the premiere was a tiny little blip on an otherwise amazing experience. And then they changed the date! So, lucky me :-)

The Night of Skulls is definitely a Halloween book. So far it's going great. It's shaping up to be a particularly good mystery (I hope!)

I have not seen credit card jewelry! Much better use for them...unless, of course, you decide to charge it...

I had no idea WC was previewed on CHC. I probably should have! Maybe I forgot? This whole process takes so long! (Like I had to remind you???)

Caradith: Holy smokes! Will you be my press agent? (Or whatever people who have people saying such wonderful things about their work are called.) Thank you!!!

Funny comment about Hollywood Mummy. I hope so too! BTW, we're planning to bring our little Flip camera to get some video to share. I'm sure I'll never make it to the "news coverage" as authors aren't generally what people want to see at premieres! I'm okay with that :-)

What's funny about those shoes on TRD jacket is my track shoes from high school look very similar. I had nothing to do with the art (except to say, pick this one! please! because there were other choices...which maybe I'll share sometime between now and January. You artistic types will find it interesting, I think.)

Change the release date? I will consolidate your pleas and ask, but I do think they have printing schedules that are all tightly choreographed, so I doubt it. But I'll ask!

All for now! My son had his first behind-the-wheel lesson this morning and then practice with me this afternoon. I am wiped out from pushing my right foot through the floorboard like there was a brake on my side. He did great, actually. Except for that moment when he pulled out into traffic without looking right...then threw it in reverse...only there was a car behind us. Traffic stopped in all directions because there was a car (us) blocking traffic in all directions. But except for that, he did great :-)

I think you click delete in bottom corner of it. I would know, because it happens to me at least every single time. And I thought it was just me. :| heh. Oh well and wow if Random House shifted the date that would be like amazing. My sister asked me if I had one what would I wish for right now, and I said “For summer to be over” because I want school to start. It’s not because I miss my friends or I really really cant wait to be a sophomore or something because I see my friends almost everyday in summer but its because I have a new wardrooobbbee. :] I swear when I was in Hollister the people were getting suspicious because I was in there SO long with my friends they thought we were gonna rob the place or something, instead we bought like 70 things. Oh that reminds me are you ever going to connect Runaway with Sammy Keyes, or is Holly’s past going to be forever unknown to Sammy?

NewYorkAngel said...

CHANGE THE DATE OF THE WC RELEASE! CHANGE IT!!!!!!!! :) I'll have to wait. *sniffle sniffle* Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! Its so hot here! The A/C is broken! I don't get how that's even possible! My dad fixes Air conditioning and heaters and my A/C is broken. I live in an unfair world where I must suffer n the heat for the rest of my life, unless i move to Alaska. The back of the freeze feels so cold. Imma go stick my head in the freezerrr.

Sammy Keyes is going to make me a christian again. I swear to GOD and I don't even believe in God. Seee!? I'm even capitalizing. And don't think I'm crazy because I'm NOT. I SWEAR that someone in this universe is taunting me, whether it's god or satan or Jesus, SOMEONE IS. It's so bad that it's not even funny.
1. Whenever I go online SOMETHING about weddings or dresses or something is on Yahoo, or any other website in the ads.
2. Random words are reminding me of SK
3. I just watched the movie When In Rome and the movie begins with a wedding and ends in one.
4. (There are so many more)
but the one that is making me believe in god is number 5. If this one happened any other day I would be happy and excited, but the fact that this happened in the certain weeki was going through MAJOR SKS, I WIN THE CONTEST FOR THAT PAPERBACK SAMMY KEYES AND THE CHC THING. Remember when I accidentally signed up for it when I thought it was the Wedding Crasher contest? Then later I realized and I'm like, "Oh oops wrong contest oh well I probably won't win."
Well, guess what. In the middle of When In Rome my mom calls me down going, "Stephanie somethings here for you!"
so I go downstairs and she has a packet thing, it's this big ellos envelope and it has the Random House address and It has our address and my name, so I'm thinking "What the !?@$ I didn't win anything EVER." so then I think, "Wait is it Wedding Crasher? Of course not I never got the email yadda yaddda"
So I don't know WHAT is going through my head when Sammy Keyes and the Cold Hard Cash (paperback) comes out, then it hits me like Ohhh wow how ironic. So yes. Now I have two CHCs, one hardcover one paperback, and I'm even MORE depressed.
God: 1
Stephanie: 0

Now I'm sitting here thinking and I don't know what to do, because this stuff just doesn't happen to me. You're probably thinking I'm just a little too crazed but you don't understand, at first it was just ironic. Now it's not even funny anymore. Ev-ery wh-ere it happens. On the billboards in Chicago there are like wedding things and online, on tv, in movies, magazines, other books.
Even fricken music (mostly one certain 3OH!3 song from the new album).
And I mean i'm a HUGE fan but I'm sitting down and thinking, I love Sammy Keyes, I love the books, the characters, the plots, but I'm not even THAT big of a fan. I'm probably the biggest where I live but I wouldn't, like, give up my grades or friends or family or something for SK, like some crazy Harry Potter or Twilight fans would. I'm so confused right now and I just don't get it. It's so surreal and as much as anyone may think I'm just another person who's destined for an insane asylum, I'm not. It's not fate it is God and I tell you by the time summer is over I will be sitting in church and believing. It's not the fact of he new SK book, it's just something that knows it will bother me. And it's working and I don't get it. Things like this don't just randomly HAPPEN without me knowing. I don't EVER win contests. Never in my entire life have I won a contest, not even the smallest thing like in a game or something. I'm filled with bad luck and the week that I actually WIN something, it's something that is taunting me.
I swear I'll kill myself. I've tried it once I can try it again.
Ok no I won't but I'm going to try to refrain from commenting after this. Maybe it will help. I'm going to hide my SK books, block site and fanfiction archive from my laptop for a little while, and change my homepage. I need rehab for this.
(I'll still be reading comments here because reading this blog actually HELPS you know?)

Man, computers can be frustrating sometimes... :-P. And Mark Farfan, read the books! They're awesome! Did any of ya'll enter the CHC giveaway 'Where the Best Books Are' hosted? (The first stop on the blog tour)? I entered and never got any feedback, though I asked a couple questions (via email), so I put it out of my head. Then I got CHC in the mail today!!! I'm pretty sure it was from the giveaway, just wondering if anyone else heard anything from them or won (since they gave away three). It was a wonderful surprise :D.

Mrs. Van Draanen is right, they aren't just for girls. They are really well written mysteries and the main character just so happens to be a girl who is kind of a tomboy, skateboards, and can't stand pink. :) And I know your name because Cammycrazygirl said "MARK FARFAN GET OFF THIS BLOG NOW!!! I MEAN IT!! NOW!!!!!! GO TO SOME OTHER FRIGGIN BLOG". LOL. No worries, I'm not a stalker. I said your last name cause Mark Parsons is an author and WVD's husband, and I didn't want to just say 'Mark' without specifying since he visits and comments here every now and then. ANYWAY: Have fun at the mortuary Mrs. Van Draanen! Or at least learn a lot... lol :).

on a happy note... Um...[insert something that is amazing here]
Oh yeah! I'm running a marathon with a person from 3OH!3. SEAN FOREMANNNN! There's probably gonna be a million people there. I don't care. It's SEAN FOREMAN SEAN SEAN SEAN THE 3RD LOVE OF MY LIFE (1st is Alex Page, my bf. 2nd is Casey Acosta, self-explanatory. Sean is third.)
If Sean falls for my wonderful facial-expression charms then it's not his fault. I have a thing for making funny faces at the weirdest of times. Alex doesn't have a chance. SEAN FOREMAN!! <3

Oh, and to Wendelin Van Draanen: When you go to the Flipped premiere, tell us what famous people you meet. If you meet anyone named Chace Crawford or Gaspard Ullie, tell us. Chace plays Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl and Gaspard is like the most amazig actor eveerrr. <3 So tell uses :]

58/59 comments. Wow.
Okay, I didn't have a paperback of CHC, so I went ONTO AMAZON and COPIED IT FROM THERE and put it onto Microsoft Word and printed it out and cropped it so four Amazon pages could fit onto Microsoft Word. Which still took up three pages. My brother accused me of being "Ridiculously and overly obsessed with that book." (I spent the last ten minutes trying to spell "Ridiculously" and I was so crazy that it took me fifteen seconds to spell "minute" if you can believe (beleive?) that, and I'm not even kidding) And then I was walking around thinking about WC and I tripped over the Wii Fit board and for some reason I just collapsed into the recliner and started to laugh.
And laugh.
And laugh.
And LAUGH.
Because I was thinking about something in the WC. My parents were all like "What?" and my dad was like," I didn't touch her!" It was pretty scary.
BUT I think that the Running Dream cover is totally and heartwarmingly and awesomly and amazingly (okay, enough)...I already awesome. Okay then, cool. See what I mean? Where's the nearest therepist? RANDOM HOUSE IS GOING DOWN.
My mom never reads. Her friend was bugging her about these three books, but I'm pretty sure that she didn't read one of them. I already laughed at her enough about the title, so I'm gonna pity her and not put it on here. Haha I already preorded the Wedding Crasher and Running Dream XD I'm so evil. EXCEPT the fuh-reaking SHIPPING is like, eleven dollars for every book, and my family isn't excactly millionairs, in case you haven't figured that out, soooo we haven't excactly actually ORDERED them yet, but we may have to take the other, not "written by the world's awesomest author" book off of the list. Because I want the books to be shipped right when they come out, and it's expensive to do that, and if I don't do that then I'm not going to get one of the books, that's already come out, until 2011, and the same as the WC, which would kill me.
Not even kidding there.
OCTOBER IS STILL TOO FAR. MOVE THE DATE CLOSER TO JULY SEVENTH. PLEASE?! HOW ABOUT THE EIGHTH!!!
What's taking them so long anyway?? Just stock them in the Barnes and Noble in North Carolina and leave all the other stores without it. Then I'll stop my secret Destroy-Random-House plan that I've been working on for the past three years, even though no one, and I mean NO ONE (even me, no kidding) knew that I was planning it.
Did that make any sense?
Okay, I need to go. The comment is already long enough...
P.S. Running a marathon with one of the 3oh!3 people...I WANNA GO. Jk jk You're gonna be freaking out if you meet him.

$#^%@#$^$%@^#@#%#$^%@#$&^$%@^%$@$^$%$!@$#%$#^%@#$
I'm too nice.
GRRRR I HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN!! AND IT WAS LONG!!!

Okay, I went to Amazon and copied the preview and cropped the preview of WC and put it in Microsoft Word so four Amazon pages could fit in one Microsoft Page (which took up three pages, in case you wanted to know) and made a cover page and sitting here beside me...
Shining like an angel...
Bright as the sun...
Beautiful as Snow White...
IS THE SAMMY KEYES AND THE WEDDING CRASHER PREVIEW.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I hope copying off Amazon wasn't illegal, becaue I literally COPIED it though I can't tell how because if it IS for some reason illegal...
AHEM. Anyways, I have decided that the hot girl that Casey was hanging around was Heather's imaginary friend. If he was, for some reason, hanging around hot girls, he will get the whooping of his life. He already did on a Cammy Fanfic blog, but he deserves another if he was. ENOUGH KELLY.
I was obsessing over Sammy Keyes downstairs and my brother told me that I was "Ridiculously and overly obsessed with Sammy Keyes."
All of my family knows ALL about Sammy Keyes. I wonder who told them?
AHHHNNYYWAAAYS I spent fifteen minutes trying to spell "Ridiculously" (because the only thing that I've been focusing on is WC and not my spelling) and it's still probably wrong, so excuse me if it is.
I LOOOOOVE the Running Dream cover, and in the Flipped trailer, I like it when Bryce's friend goes, "What is wrong with you? Have you flipped?" for reasons unknown. And I sorta already pre-ordered WC and Running Dream.
Sorta.
You see, I COULD have free shipping...
Only if I want to get the WC in 2011, which would kill me, not kidding there.
RANDOM HOUSE IS GOING DOWN.
Sorry bout that. But if I want to get the books shipped as soon as they are available, it's like, eleven dollars for every book, and there are three, so I'm going to have to drop one or two. If it's one, it's going to be the non written-by-the-world's-coolest-author book. If it's two, goodbye The Running Dream.
Because I want that, but right now, SK 13 is what I want bad.
And I mean BAD.
Okay, so we haven't ordered the books yet. But I will get the WC either way because I plan on attacking Random House with a plan that I started making three years ago. Nobody, even me, knew that I was making the plan.
Wait a second, did that make sense?
But I plan on finishing the WC the first day it comes out and then freaking out and then reading it five times over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...
My fingers are tired of typing...Ouch.
P.S. Running a marathon with one of the 3oh!3 members? COOL. Get his autograph. Then post a picture of the autograph on your blog.
Wow this was looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.
MOVE THE DATE FOR WEDDING CRASHER UP!! NOW!! I CAN'T WAIT!! EVERYONE THINKS THAT IT IS A FABULOUS IDEA!!! SO USE IT!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Shhh!
Cammycrazygirl don't spoil my FAnfictionssss! Remember Bridget was an actress Heather hired, so technically it wasn't Caseys fault. He was all "What going on...?"
but now everyone knows she's really a Canadian hockey-playing girl who taught Sammy how to bowl. :P
my mom said I was going mental yesterday because i had too much on my mind. And she told me to apologize if I freaked anyone out with my blog post about how I used to be a suicidal, etc etc and how I don't believe in god and how god is my enemy and stuff like that.
"Stephanie Anne Marie Hall, do you need anti-depressants!? GO APOLOGIZE!"
:P
No I do not need anti-depressants mother. The anti-depressant in my life would be SK13. I never took them even when I did hurt myself a few years ago because I had to SWEAR to my mom I wouldn't. She's like telling me to pray to god for forgiveness and I had to explain all that stuff on how I've "blocked god" out of my life as it explains on my blog.
Oh geez I think I need a therapist. My mom is one but she never understands. :[ I ask her why and she says, "Its because I'm a therapist for people with serious famil problems. Do WE have serious problems?"
YES WHY DOESNT SHE SEE THAT I USED TO FUDGING WANT TO DIE!
If she sends me to a therapist I will run away like she did last Fourth of July. She taught me best. ;[ *takes a virtual anti-depressant*
Anywway...
This is to Wendelin Van Draanen:
If you ever get the chance, listen to "See You Go" by 3OH!3. It's the song that reminds me of SK waaay too much. Not the opening part, but the chorus does. And not only is it the words of the chorus, it's just the whole beat/tune of the song. It's driving me insane haha.

I was reading Snake Eyes last night.
--------
'Nuh-uh, I thought. This wasn't a baby. This was a BOMB.'
--------
Sammy is my soul sister.
Not that I hate babies, but I'm just not good with them. When Serenity is in Siera's arms, she shuts up and when I hold her she starts screaming. Once I was so mad I was just, "SHUT UP AND STOP CRYING! NO ONE IS LISTENING" and Serenity made a whimpering noise. Siera was like "Youre so mean you scared her!"
I felt bad so I apologized to a one month old baby for like an hour.
Oh how pathetic I am. I wonder why my mom even decided to have another child. Weren't we already enough for her? What was going through her mind? 'I want another baby that will be another annoying teenager in sixteen years so now I never get a break!'
all she says is, "You won't understand what a mother is like until you are one.'. Whatever she says....
But I'm on Sammy's side with the baby thing. XD
When Sammy was getting the hose from the police station, like when she was thinking,
'I wanted to scream "SHUT UP! I'm working on it!"
I am so mean. Never hire me as a babysitter, people. :[ or Sammy for that matter. :P One of a kind.

I love See you Go...You don't need a therapist, Steph. I do. I know sooooooo many people that will agree. My friends, my enemies, my family, people on the street. I'm serious. There was this person on the street. He aked why I was wearing HIGH tops. "Its so hot outside. HIGH tops? Really?" A male Heather, I swear to you. I answered, "Welllllll. Not that its any of your businessss. Sammy Keyes wears high tops and they're JUST FINE for her. I grew up wearing these and I always will. You will have to take these things off with the Jaws of Life." Then he was all, "Who's Sammy Keyes? Some actress?"

"Nooooooo. A book character."
He blinked and I was with my cousin and he started diaing 911 on his phone. I didn't think I was THAT crazy.

"Jenniferrrrrrr! Why is there a horseshoe on your Facebook page? A horseshoe? Really?"

"YES! Why NOT a horseshoe? Casey gave one to sammy on her 13th birthday to ward off bad luck! I want a horseshoe..."

"Wow, Jennifer. You amaze me. -_-"

I want a horseshoooe. Like the one that Casey gave Sammy. I had a horseshoe but my sister stole it..Imma get my parents to get me one for my birthday. I think I know what Imma get for my birthday. An eReader. A nook. With internet. I hope, anyway. If I get an eReader, I want it to have Internet. *sigh* I know NO ONE who remembers my birthday.
"August 21?"
"No."
"23?"
"NO."
They go through all of the numbers in the month of August. When they guess the right number, I tell them, "No." In the end, they'll go, "Then when is it!"
"August 22."
"I SAID THAT!"
"Yes. But I said no for a test. You didn't REALLY know."

Not even my parents remember. I doubt if even I know my own birthday. I forgot what I was typing about before. *scroll up*

Ohhhhhhhhh. My mental issues.

70 comments here and this was posted just yesterday.
I have a heachache since I just re-watched Saw. :] Oh the things people do these days.
I don't understand why people don't like high-tops in Sammy's school. Here, high-tops and Converse are cool. I've been wearing them since fifth grade, and my first real pair wasn't Converse (wearing non-Converse high-tops is a crime for me). I have two pairs at the moment, dunno why. One had those Jerry Bear things on it, they're like high-tops for that band Grateful Dead. And my second pair just has like silver metallic lines across them all (I wrote 3OH!3 all over those and colored the laces blue, green, and purple with my friend in cooking class once...). I just don't get why people hate them in Sammy's school. Poor Converse. :[

Haha NEVER hire me to babysit anyone.
I once went on this thing with my church, and there was this little toddler there. Let's call her G for the time being. Anyway, she was a younger person, and of course my MOM was all like, isn't she sooooo sweet, and I guess I might have been like that if my mom wasn't like " Kellly, let G have your seat."
"Kelly, stop and wait for G."
"Kelly, give G a chance."
(on the last one, I hadn't even started doing it)
And yeah, it may seem like I'm whiny, but the little kid seemed to nod and laugh (let me repeat that; LAUGH) whenever my mom made me do that. And she could sit on the floor.
She can walk faster.
She can wait a friggin FIVE SECONDS in line.

Okay, so I'm probably just a grouchy teenager. But I just do NOT have ANY patiance. You all probably hate me by now. Yeah yeah everyone hates people who don't have patiance with anyone. At the end of that trip I was ready to SCREAM. Ahhnd before you all hate me even more, I should go.

I'm impatient with everything. I get inpatient scrolling to the bottom of these comments, for crying out loud.
I just read some of Art of Deception. When Sammy was just sitting by the fence.
Houses remind me of rooms and rooms make me think of how Sammy's room would look. Well, not like mine for sure. Unless she really likes the color blue. I don't know what I was thinking when I had my room decorated, but everything is blue. Walls, bed, curtains, floor. They're all differet shades but yeauh it's alllll blue. I think Sammy's room would be... BLANK I can't think of anything! My imagination has run out! That is so strange I usually have a good idea of everything in my head. :[ Oh weeeeelllllllll.
On my blog I asked to be dared anything and one of them was NOT TO SWEAR FOR FIVE DAYS. At first I thought it said forever so I nearly freaked out but then i'm like, oh, five days. Not that I think dropping the f-bomb all the time is cool or anything, but I'm all for freedom of speech and stuff so I try to make it a point to people. But I'm not rude and I don't like tell everyone to F-off and stuff.
That means I can't quote 3OH!3 lyrics anymoreeee! I mean I can quote SOME but NOT MY FAVORITE LINES BECAUSE THEY ALL HAVE THE F-BOMB PRACTICALLY!
My mom is watching When in Rome upstairs and she won't stop laughing. I can't believe she actually likes this stuff. It is so awkward to watch movies like that in front of your parents. Omg this is the part where Nick and Beth are in that resteraunt where everything is pitch black and the weird woman is guiding them to their table and then all the dudes come in and try to find Beth (I can't even wrote Lmfao because it contains two swears).

AHHHHH!! THIS IS GOD'S WAY OF PUNISHING ME!! I MEAN IT!! WHAT HAVE I DONE? EVERYONE'S GETTING PUNISHED.
You know that girl I was talking about? the young one? SHE CAME BACK AND HAUNTED ME. Her and another person younger who kept staring at me. And then the annoying person my age who talks too much and never stops bothering me. But the person that I was recently ranting about CAME BACK and wasn't as bad but I'm still angry at my mom for some of what she said tonight. I'm so nice. I could have said something else, but evveeeeryone calls it a cuss. ANYWAYS. GRRR. Random House should hold a contest where they give away eighty copies of the WC. I'd be sure to get one.
Hopefully.

I KNOW I WANT ONEEEEE :[ I don't care if it's a bound galley or real thing I WANT ONEEE :[
I just stopped crying but it was not for Sammy Keyes, but oh well :[ Its cold. Brrrrr. Sigh I'm gonna go pour my depressed heart out somewhere else. I honestly have no idea how I'm gonna get through this summer. It was a mistake for me to come on this blog for the first time last November because then I wouldn't have known about Wedding Crasher and i wouldn't be depressed. Can you believe it's 2010 and Cold Hard Cash came out in 2008!?! It feels weird typing two zero's in the 2008. Two yearrssss of noo neeewww Sammy Keyessss. I can't reread them any more or else the words will pop off the page and into my eyeballsssss! I already memorized half of them but I read it anyway and then I dose off in the middle to day dream. Urghh. :[ how am I going to survive how how how how how? HOW!? If only they could have another contest but this time we would have to write an essay or something on why we want it I'm good at essays especially persuasive essays (maybe that's why I won the Cold Hard Cash paperback contest... My essay was really.. Um... How do I say it, it had a lot of good reasons why Im like a huuge fan, but I'm not as insane as I was before. Well I am but not in the same way). Writing helps me because it makes me feel like the words are SOMEWHERE at least. Whether they are here or there or everywhere. I can't write made up stories that well though I'm better at personal experiences. Maybe because I'm best at explaining my own feelings because no people actually do. Holy SMOKES (Look! I didn't swear!!!!) I write a LOT. Sometimes I feel like I'm so annoying but I probably am. Urghhh. :[ I don't care just ignore me If I am. Sorry for the bad grammar I'm just too tired and I was just in a really bad mood because my dad doesn't understanddddd. :[ :[ :[
THIS SUMMER IS OFFICIALLY THE WORST SUMMER IN THE HISTORY OF SUMMERS. THE WORST THE WORST THE WORST. :[

Cammycrazygirl said...

NONONONONO YOU ARE NOT ANNOYING. And if you stop posting as much I will kill you. And if you hold an essay contest, I would win. I would spend hours perfecting my essay. I'm not even kidding there.

Did I mention that my itouch background is a picture of SK and the WC? Sorry, had to put that XD

Lmfao...

And her nails were done with those fake white tips that are supposed to look real but look like fake white tips.

^^^ lol Sammy... I've started a list of my favorite Sammy quotes. XD She cracks me up. I've been rereading Dead Giveaway so I have a couple from there. My older sister's favorite:
"Its mine and he took it from me!"
"Its okay Josh. Calm down and I'll get it back for you."
"But it's mine! It's mine and he took it from me!"
"I know Josh, but first you must sit down and calm down."
"But it's mine! It's mine and he took it from me!"
"I know Josh. Sit down and calm down."
"But it's mine! It's mine and he took it from me!"
"I know. And how do you get your spaceman back?"
"But it's mine! It's mine and he took it from me!"
Less than a minute of this and I was already ready to shout, Sit down! Shut up! She'll get your stupid spaceman!

Sammy is so funny sometimes and I know it's kind of mean of her sometimes but sometimes the way she thinks is so much like I can't help but love her more. XD

NewYorkAngel said...

SHUT UP, JOSH! SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP! Its too muchh! My brother is like that except he's WORSE. I CANNOT take it anymore. But he's smarter. I got in trouble because of him. And it wasn't even MY fault. He framed me for stealing forty bucks. That's just soo ruuude. "How rude!" I remember that Stephanie on Full House used tosay that. I love that showww. WEDDING CRASHER TAUNTS MEEEE! MY PARENTS ARE GOING TO A WEDDING TOMORORROW. That's just messed up. It is.

Cammycrazygirl said...

Okay, thanks to my terrible letter-writing skills, on xxcammyloverxx's SK blog, Sammy and Casey probably hate me. LOL not even kidding. I feel sorry for them. I sound terrible.

xxCammyLoverxx said...

Dont worry, Sammy and Casey both replied to each and every letter they got. :] They got some interesting questions, I must say so myself.
Oh! And I finished the whole Sammy Meets Justin Bieber story... I was trying so hard not to crack myself up as I wrote it because Justin Bieber is the last person she'd wanna meet you know? I tried to have her be in-character though. I'm not that good at writing from Sammy's point of view I must admit, but I'm pretty proud of this line she specifically says (when she sees all the girls surrounding Justin at his mic-stand): "How can these girls be in love with a boy who uses more hair product than they do?" it just seemed like such a Sammyish thing. :P of course I am not one to judge... Anyway, my dad is dragging me to these lectures about religion every Friday but all I do is text the whole time but today I just answered all of the Letters to Sammy and Casey during the two hours. Next, Sammy is going to be meeing Nathaniel Motte and Sean Foreman, and possible Pete Wentz. :] I looove Pete Wentz. No matter how great Sean may be, Pete is the best. <3 I have in of his guitar picks, a little thing he gave me when I met him backstage. WHY DID FALL OUT BOY BREAK UP THEY WERE MU SAVIORS FROM DEPRESSION! One line specifically from their song "I Dont Care":
"I don't care what you think, as long as it's about me. The best of us can find happiness in misery."
that's the one line that I love the most out of any song in the world. Best lyrics ever if you ask me. Helped me through a lotttttt of things and I've done so man school reports on Fall Out Boy.. And urgh, seeing them break up is just so sad. 3OH!3 better not break up or I'll kill em. :[ They won't soon because they JUST got reallyyyy famous with "Dont Trust Me" and "Starstrukk" with Katy Perry and "My First Kiss" with Ke$ha and stuff. I wish 'Waitin for the Rain to Fall' was real. :[
"I guess I'm a fan of troublemakers." hehehe pretty clever :]
I wonder what would happen if Sammy met Sean Foreman. Hmm, then later Sammy could go to Heather and say, "Sorry Heather I can't trust you! 3OH!3 taught me not to trus. [insert bad word that ryhmes with Glow but I'm on a No Curse rule thing]!"
I really should be doing this rambling on my blog... :]
bye the waaaay.... The closest thing I know of "Waitin for the Rain to Fall" is a song called "Up Against the Wall" by Boys Like Girls. That's how I imagine the tune of he song as least... listen to it if you have a chance--> "Up Against th Wall" by Boys Like Girls

I revised it, edited it and posted it! It's called Sammy in Bieberland. :] Hehe. Well if anyone else besides you wants go read it (since you can't read FFs yet.. :[ ) then here it is:

SAMMY MEETS J-BIEBS! :P Heehee.

xxCammyLoverxx said...

Or should I say, S-Keyes meets K-Biebs :]
Sammys rapper name would be Skeyes or something. Pronounces Skeeze, but spelled Skeyes. Or it couldnbe spelled Skeeze. :P I'm getting carried away...
M-Kenze (Marissa)
D-Vries (LOL it totally fits. For Dot..)
Holly's wouldn't sound right... :[
Hacosta! Heather's rapper name! It sounds like Lacoste though... I known a girl named Alexa Acosta and everyone called her Alexa-Acosta-the-Alligator since Lacoste's is an alligator. It's in a friendly way though not in a teasing way. Srangely enough I also know a Danny Briggs and we all call him D-Briggs :P
My rapper name would be--> Sharie :] That's Steph + Marie + Hall. It's sounds like Cher though... :[ Sigh.
Or Sammy's could S-Kizzle, for like her first initial and then her last initial with an "izzle added. Then I'd be S-Hizzle. And Marissa would be M-Mizzle, but since her last initial is the same we'd have to chance it to a W, M-Wizzle. Orrrrr Sammy could just be plain Skizzle, instead of S-Kizzle. THAT WOULD MAKE ME SHIZZLE :] I'm having waaaay too much fun with this lol. I'm going to be called Shizzle from now on. And Skizzle is Sammy's rapper name.
---Shizzle

In the mood to read Runaway. First time I read it, I finished in a night and cried. I cry at everything. Then the next day I practically forced it onto my friend saying, "Read it, it's worth your time!" the NEXT day she comes back going, "Wow, that was REALLY sad and good. And I cried." and the chain went on. Let's just say my copy of Runaway is in pretty tattered condition, and I take pride in my books' good condition. The only books I don't attempt to keep in shape is Sammy Keyes books because it's useless, I read them too much. Cold Hard Cash was perfect forthright first few weeks and now... Uh... Well :P I'm going to rebut the whole series later again and then pack them up so I can let my children read them. :) Same with Percy Jackson. :] NOT Twilight, I'm burning those. Those books have poisoned too many minds, I say. People have broken up with their fiancée or boyfriends or husbands just because they weren'. "Edward" enough. I broke up with my boyfriend today because he wasn't "friend" enough. He was all "yor only my girlfriend" and I want a bf that can be my FRIEND at the same time. So yeah. On Facebook he put: ' I'm single and ready to mingle!' Jerk. I hope Heather Acosta finds him. And pushes him out a window. Maybe I'LL push him out a window. If I ever pushed anyone out my window they would die. My stairs are like four flights high (nice workout) and so if I ever jumped out my window I'd go SPLAT! :P OFF TO READ RUNAWAY (AGAIN!)
